SO I had a 755 with a loader and 60 in belly unit, nice little machine with only 300 hours on it. I only have 3 acers but felt since I had the unit since 1992 I should trade it for a new 4310. I did in may of this year, I always felt a backhoe would be a nice attachement to have and with that a bigger tractor was needed. My set up was a 4310,48 hoe,60 belly,430 loader. I had the unit and it performed well but seemed to big for my yard so I decided to sell same. I had second thoughts almost as soon as the unit was trailered away and spent the past several days looking for a replacement. When I first purchased the 4310 I did not even real consider any other brands, sure I priced a few but never kicked the tires. This time around I did some kicking. I drove the NH, the Kubota, the cub, the massey and even looked at several grey market brands. None even come close to the Deeres performance , more importantly user driven features. Look I dont want to use my heel to go in reverse, nor do I need to push the clutch on a hydro machine to engage something. My point, no one is even close to Deere. Also, both NH and Kubota were priced higher than the deere.
SO its back to a deere, but the funny part, the 4110 is a little smaller than I would like. The price difference to a 4310 is not that great. Do I need medication, my wife would say I do since I am now looking to go out and purchase the same setup I had, less the backhoe.
I think this speaks volumes for the product. Sure I had a few small issue.-The hoe would not mount right, the tilt wheel broke, the hose on the power beyond kit kept comming off. But each time the dealer trailer it to his shop, fixed it and returned it safely home.
Glad I kept my deere hat cause i will be back on one soon

JD,
I know it would be kinda tough to go to a 4110 from the 4310, but I couldnt be happier with mine. That little tractor has done some pretty tough work. I only have a llittle over 4 acres, but it was in pretty rough shape when I bought it. I've mowed weeds and brush taller than the hood and even pushed over a couple of trees 10 - 12". Of course the ground was soft after a rain. Like you, I did some shopping and within the big 3, size for size the specs are pretty close, but nuthin runs like a deere. Good luck with your next JD ....

JDfan,
Get what you want. You're only here on this good Earth once. My wife gets mad at me for spending too much time on tractor chat sites. Also when I'm working(playing) in the seat of my 4310 while she's hauling brush...
PS, was the bucket too much for the 4310? They sure are expensive!!! ....
